     Haskett points were named by B. Robert Butler after Mr. Parley Haskett who discovered the type site along side a secondary road leading to lake Channel in southeastern Idaho in Power County.
   Twenty two points were found on the Haskett site of which eight could be classified as Haskett points. These points have not yet been reliably dated so only estimates are available. Suggested dates range from 8,500 to 7,000 years ago.

   This resharpened Haskett point is the best example from the type site and was found by Parley Haskett. It is made of opaque black obsidian and it measures 4 3/4 inches long.
