   This picture shows an enlargement of the flaking

on the edge of the handle of a type V Danish dagger.

The zigzag style of flaking on this dagger was very

skillfully done. Pressure flaking with the use of a
copper tool is the technique used to make this style

of flaking that looks like stitched cloth.
