5 Clovis points from the Drake cache.

   These Clovis points are part of a cache of thirteen found in a cultivated field in northeastern Colorado. They were first discovered by Orvel Drake and have become known as the Drake cache. Fragments of ivory and a hammer stone were also found. The largest Clovis point in this picture measures 6 7/8 inches long and is made of Alabates chert from Texas. Most of these points are made of Alabates chert. The one in the lower right is made of Edwards chert from Texas.
