Only a handful of people are able, today, to make a type IV Danish
dagger. The skill to make one is developed over time. These
elaborately styled daggers are technically one of the most difficult
Stone Age tool types to construct. The flintknappers of today are
able to duplicate "just about" every flake removal technique
that has been invented by humans for the past 3 million years, but as is
the case with most anything, the more difficult the task the fewer are
the people who can do it.
