COPYRIGHT JUNE 30, 2013 PETER A. BOSTROM

This leilira knife has no provenience but it appears to be a good example. It's made from a three-sided macroblade that is long, straight and pointed. Only one edge appears to have been modified slightly with the removal of a percussion flake and minor edge trimming. The handle is made from spinifex grass resin. The knife handle and part of the blade is colored with red ochre. The blade is made of quartzite and the knife measures 6 inches (15.2 cm) long and 1 3/4 inches (4.5 cm) wide on the handle.
