A MARVIN McCORMICK This Marvin McCormick Folsom point has large wide flutes on both sides. Both flutes stop abruptly with a hinge fracture approximately 5/8 of an inch (1.6 cm) from the tip of the point. Marvin fluted his points with either a metal punch or a lever device. One picture shows him striking a metal punch that is laying against an isolated platform, with a discoidal shaped stone. The edges of this point are nicely trimmed with pressure flaking. This point measures 2 1/4 inches (5.8 cm) long.
